Feed Compass Help

Feed Compass is a companion app to an RSS Reader. It works with both native macOS Readers and Web Readers. If you are looking for a good, free RSS Reader we recommend NetNewsWire.

Configuration

If you are using a Web Reader, the first thing you will want to do is set it in the Preferences. You have nothing to set if you are using a native macOS Reader.

Subscribing

You are now ready to browse through the listing of blogs and subscribe using the big Subscribe button.

If you are using a native macOS Reader and the Subscribe button doesn’t do anything, your Reader doesn’t support the feed: protocol. You can contact the Reader support to request this feature in a future release.

An alternative to using the Subscribe button is to drag the blog from the sidebar to your native Reader. Not all Readers support this.

As a last resort, you can right-click on the blog in the sidebar and select “Copy feed URL to Clipboard” and paste it in your Reader’s add function.
